“ We had an exceptional experience at this Michelin Guide-listed restaurant! The food was absolutely amazing – every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful, making the entire meal even more enjoyable. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Highly recommend!! ”
“ I went here the night I got engaged and can hands down say it was the best meal I have ever had. From the get go, the service was great. Drinks came quick, the Pork Belly appetizer we got was unbelievable. My fiance got the sea trout while I got the chicken for mains. Each dish was literally unreal - the balance between the main meat & all the supplementary vegetables/sauces/purees, mashes, etc., were truly remarkable. They provided a shot glass each full of some type of broth “on the house” to boost the experience as well while waiting for the mains. This type of little detail goes a long way to making the dining experience unique & special. Another thing to note - the portion sizes are nailed down perfectly. They were large enough that you didn’t feel ripped off, while not being too big that leave you feeling TOO full & sick afterwards - well done. I believe to finish the meal we got the chocolate mousse cake - it was great as well. And with the bill, again, they provided some type of treat “on the house” that was also unreal and bite sized. For the quality, size of meals, diverse flavours, and the fact that they accommodated my gluten free allergies very well (could get almost everything on the menu), the price was exceptional. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. Thanks for making the night I got engaged truly memorable! ”
“ I’m still dreaming of my dinner at Wedgwood and was rather tempted to return for another meal in the same trip—and regret that I didn’t return to try other items on the menu that were mostly Scottish derived ingredients. Even though I hadn’t made a booking, the service staff were still very welcoming and warm. Recommendations were spot on. The scallops were a must-order. Fresh, perfectly cooked and generous in portion (I went somewhere else nearby that was stingy). The coley fish and textured risotto wasn’t too heavy, but still delicious and the paired well. I’ll definitely return if I’m back in Edinburgh. ”
“ Lunch menu was wonderful and incredibly tasty, and more economical compared to the more upscale dinner menu. Had two courses for 27 total, all portioned well and very flavourful. Definitely reccomend the bass if it is on the menu while visiting- the cooks did a great job with the skin, wonderfully crisp and just salty enough. Staff were very friendly and kind to a solo diner- reccomend if you are also in a similar situation. ”
“ Blown away by the service. My wife indicated that our daughters had food allergies when we booked and they created a a modified menu of all the things safe for them to eat. Friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the food, sourcing, and wine and whiskey. We would come back here often if we lived in Edinburgh. Food was amazing - I enjoyed the chef’s tasting menu thoroughly. Not a miss on the entire list. What an experience. The owner Lisa could not have been more accommodating and welcoming. ”
“ Thanks to a fellow New Zealander who is a regular at Wedgwood, he introduced me to this fine establishment on Saturday! It was hands down one of the best meals I’ve had during my holiday. The service, food, and wine were amazing, and I was so impressed that I came back on Monday for more of the same great experience! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and looked after us without being over the top. The food was incredible – every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. If you're a wine lover, I highly recommend the Altanza Club Rioja 2016 Wedgwood red wine. Don’t bother with just a glass – get the bottle! It’s the perfect choice to pair with the meal. I highly recommend Wedgwood The Restaurant to anyone visiting or living in Edinburgh. If you’re looking for great food, excellent service, and delicious wine, this is the place to go. I can’t wait for my next trip from New Zealand to Edinburgh so I can come back! ”
“ We had a delicious tasting meal at Wedgwood. Every course was absolutely flawless and served with great wine pairings. Portion sizes were perfect and none of the courses felt too heavy. The service was excellent too. A great experience from start to finish! ”
“ A smallish fine dining restaurant by the Cannongate and Royal Mile. Very atmospheric place, look around the ceiling and you see nice little details in decor. Food is local and seasonal, modern cooking with some Scandinavian twist. Not the cheapest place around but great choice for a special occasion. ”
